Welcome to the Archive Photo Albums, documenting the story of the Capitol Showband, starting with the Quicksilver Danceband, Turloughmore , Co. Galway. Most of these old photos and band handouts are in their original state and unless in extreme circumstances they have not been enhanced in any way , so as to preserve  their authenticity.Also on this page are photos of the band that appeared in publications such as Spotlight Magazine , and various Showband Annuals. Many of these were photographed by Roy Esmonde and are from the colection of Ann Fahy. I hope they will envoke many happy memories of the great " Dancehall Days" , now consigned to the History books.
